What The Kale....?

kale
Kale. This delicious and nutritious veggie hangs out on the fringe. Commonly described as dark, calm, collected. It's anything but mainstream. And don't be fooled by its gentle ruffles. This vegetable packs a punch. Nutritionally speaking, it makes most leafy greens look like wimps. Most people have encountered kale placed as a garnish, meant to be thrown away, however, it's just not the sideline type. How can you make sure this ultra cool veggie has center stage? Below are quick and easy kale recipes.
  • Put down those greasy potato chips. Make kale "chips" by tossing kale leaves, 2 Tsp of olive oil, and a dash of sea salt. Toast in the oven for 275 degrees for 20 minutes, until crispy.
  • Make a refreshing drink by incorporating kale greens into any fruit smoothie.
  • Sautee mushrooms, bell peppers, and kale greens in olive oil with a dash of soy sauce and red wine vinegar for a tasty meal.
  • Make a delicious tossed salad by replacing lettuce with baby kale greens.
  • Add kale greens and sliced cherry tomatoes to eggs for a colorful omelet.
  • A sprinkle of kale greens tossed into potato soup adds texture and color.
Kale. Yes, it's that badass.

  2. I love homemade kale chips because they are low calorie and nutritious ,but be careful with the ones they sell at stores usually manufacturers use cheap oils like corn oil , canola oil, or some other mystery oil that they decided too use to save money also the store bought ones might contain an additive that makes them last longer! Stick to DIY when it comes to kale chips and it will be just fine!
